If couch to 5k is too hard - this is the plan for you! This has got me running after injuries and surgeries and starting all over building fitness! Great program and lots of support!

The high-impact sports bra our running community recommends most is the Shefit Ultimate Sports Bra. Runners like that the straps and band adjust fully and the fit holds up through pregnancy and postpartum.
If you're larger-busted or have a small band and a large cup, Shefit, Panache Power 5021 and Glamorise No Bounce were the clear favourites. For low bounce that's easy to get on and off, runners pointed to Lululemon's Run Times and Energy Bra, with Under Armour Infinity High Impact and Anita's Momentum, Extreme Control and Air Control rounding out the top six.
If you have a chest, the right sports bra decides whether a run feels manageable or miserable. A bra that lets you bounce, chafes or takes a full workout just to get off makes it harder to keep showing up.
When you're starting out, gear advice is everywhere and most of it is selling something. So we asked the people who've actually been there: the None to Run community. Runners told us which high-impact sports bra they wear and why. These are the six they mentioned most, counted down from #6 to the one they mentioned most.

None of these brands paid to be here. This list is what runners told us, nothing more.
We're counting down from six to one, so the bra our community mentioned most is at the bottom. If you just want the winner, skip ahead to #1 or check the table above.

Why runners like it: The back clasp and adjustable straps give real lift and separation. It feels like an actual bra, and it holds up wash after wash.
Downsides: None flagged by our community. Sizing is European, so check the size chart before you order.
Shop it: Anita Momentum · Anita Extreme Control · Anita Air Control

Why runners like it: The hook-and-eye closure means you don't have to pull a sweaty bra over your head. The zero-stretch fabric gives a firm hold, and it's made for larger chests.
Downsides: None flagged by our community, but it's a full-coverage style, so try it with the tops you actually run in.
Shop it: Glamorise No-Bounce Camisole Sports Bra · Glamorise Custom Control Sports Bra

Why runners like it: Criss-cross adjustable straps and a hook-and-eye band. It controls movement well without feeling restrictive.
Downsides: None flagged by our community. If you're between sizes, try both before you commit.
Shop it: UA Infinity 2.0 High Sports Bra

Why runners like it: It converts to a racerback and gives full coverage with large-cup, small-band sizing. No uniboob, and it stays hidden under a V-neck.
Downsides: Our community didn't flag any.
Shop it: Panache Power Wired Sports Bra

Why runners like it: Minimal bounce. It feels secure without feeling bound down, and it's easy to put on.
Downsides: It can run warm on hot, sweaty days.
Shop it: Lululemon Run Times Bra · Lululemon Energy Bra High Support

Why runners like it: The straps and band are fully adjustable, and the front zip means no over-the-head struggle. It adjusts through pregnancy and postpartum, and runners with larger busts singled it out.
Downsides: None flagged by our community, but it takes a few wears to get the straps and band dialed in, so give it a couple of runs before you judge it.
Shop it: Shefit Ultimate Sports Bra
Look for three things in a high-impact sports bra: adjustable straps and band, a closure you can get on and off easily, and fabric that holds you in place without restricting your breathing. Almost every bra on this list has at least two of those, and runners mentioned them over and over.
A quick fit check before you head out: jog on the spot or do a few jumping jacks. If you feel noticeable bounce, or the band rides up, try a different size or style.
In our community survey, the Shefit Ultimate Sports Bra was mentioned most. Runners like that it adjusts fully and closes with a front zip. Lululemon's Run Times and Energy Bra came second.
Runners with larger busts most often recommended the Shefit Ultimate Sports Bra, Glamorise No Bounce and Panache Power 5021. Panache offers large-cup, small-band sizing, and Glamorise uses zero-stretch fabric for a firmer hold.
The Shefit Ultimate Sports Bra has a front zip. Glamorise No Bounce, Under Armour Infinity High Impact and the Anita styles close with a hook-and-eye or back clasp, so you can take them off without pulling a sweaty bra over your head.
If you have a chest, yes. Even short running intervals are high impact, so a bra built for running will be more comfortable than a low-impact or everyday bra.
Our community recommended the Shefit Ultimate Sports Bra because its straps and band adjust as your body changes through pregnancy and postpartum.
Look for breathable fabric. Our community's one caution was that the Lululemon Run Times and Energy Bra can run warm on hot, sweaty days.
The right sports bra is one less thing between you and your next run. The rest is a plan that starts where you are, and that's what None to Run is built for.
