I would highly recommend this app. I couldn't even run 1 minute and never liked it - I had tried and given up multiple times. With this app I learned to run and finished a 10k race.
I am about to start week 3 of the 12 week beginner program. And I am loving it!! I've tried other programs but this one is working! The ramp up is very manageable. I look forward to heading out. And I feel fantastic afterwards. Yup, this is a great program!
Like everyone, I started with the intervals and thought no way would I make it in the time they said (12 weeks). But other people in the group had completed the program and to be honest, I had to check the ego and learn something new, every couple of weeks to keep me on track. Right enough, I completed the program and since then can 'easily' run for 30mins 3 times a week. The biggest thing for me before was managing to run without getting injured (both knees have had cartilage removed) and I can do that and more now.
Never thought I could become a runner. Luckily I was wrong :D
I am not a runner and this app is turning me into one! It's hard to run but the way this program eases you into it has made this achievable! I'm 57 and I'm on week 5, run 2 and it's getting easier and easier. Hard to believe it's getting easier but it makes sense when you are eased into a program and not jumping right in to running and suffering from injuries. I have bad knees and this program works great for me and my knees! Thank you None 2 Run Team!!!!
I'm trying to figure out how to be honest without sounding like a sponsored ad. I've never ran in my life, actually I didn't LIKE running at all. I decided to start and I knew I'd need some type of guidance. This was more than I was ever bargaining for. It has all the features I didn't even know I needed. The fact it verbally speaks the directions to you is the one that got me hooked because what?? It does such a good job fostering a sense of pride and achievement, like I just got my first week achievement and I'm bragging to everyone I know. 10/10, I tried 2 or 3 other apps briefly and they didn't compare at all.
I have done several 5K running programs over the years, and I always had to take time off due to injuries. Currently I'm 8 weeks in without any breaks due to injuries. I'm also closer than I ever have been to running 5K without having to take tons of walk breaks. It's a wonderful program, and I thank Coach Mark for it!
So excited to find this program. I'm in my 50's thought my health didn't allow me to run. But N2R taught me I could take my time build up at my pace, in my time. And now I'm well on my way of not only running 5ks regularly but dropping my time. I'm so grateful for this program.
I just completed the None to Run plan and loved how truly beginner-friendly it was! The ramp up is slower than other plans targeted at beginners and for that reason it actually is do-able for just about anyone. I'm now onto the 5k race plan and am loving my running journey. My advice is: just get started! Even if it seems daunting, you will surprise yourself and feel great!
Love this app. A friend told me about this as an alternative to Couch to 5K; I tried the N2R free trial and decided the annual subscription is worth every penny. It's like paying $3 a month for a professional-level coach in your pocket whenever you need. I like how it's relaxed ("Rest a day or two between workouts") rather than rigid (i.e. you MUST run on this M-W-F schedule) and is such a positive mix of flexibility within healthy structures. I couldn't run for 5m straight before starting this, but they literally have a "Run Ready" program to prepare you even at THAT level. The goal is to have a healthy relationship with running for your entire life, and they really understand the psychology behind that with how this whole app is designed.
Easy to use but keeps you accountable to your goal. Very encouraging in each plan.
I just wanted to share that I was the kid in gym class who was always picked last. I was an honors student who somehow managed to get a D in gym because I truly disliked sports, especially running! Last year, at age 57, I had a health scare that made me realize I needed to completely overhaul my health. I had actually tried None 2 Run during COVID and quit around week four, so I was not sure I would succeed this time. But this time I stuck with it, and I still cannot believe that I completed all 12 weeks. I am now in better shape than I have ever been in my life, and several of my health issues have reversed. None 2 Run truly helped me change the trajectory of my health.
I have wanted to run for a long time, but I was overweight and way out of shape. I took a leap of faith and tried None to Run and I am so so glad I did! The intervals are small and build gradually, plus the easy strength workouts are amazing as well. I remember when running 30 seconds felt like a lifetime and now I can run 3 miles without stopping. This app allowed me to become a runner and fall in love with the sport. Thank you None to Run!!
This is an excellent app to start walk/run/walk routines and to build up as a beginner. Enjoyable to do.
Amazing app to go along with a great running program. Am finding it adds so much to being able to follow the N2R program and getting me back into running after a 10 year gap.
Love this app and has helped me stay on track! I've started a running program 2 other times and it was too aggressive. This is a perfect app for starting out and building up to longer runs! Very easy to use - HIGHLY recommend!
I chose N2R after reading other reviews. I was skeptical that I would ever consider myself a runner or could achieve my running goals. However, the app and training plans have made it possible. I just follow the plan and the app talks me through that day's schedule as I go. If you're on the fence, give it a try. You have nothing to lose 👍🏻
I'm an 82 year old woman who's never run at any stage of my life. How I got to even think I might want to run is another story, but once I got the idea, & got under way, this app has supported & encouraged me (literally) step by step. The very gradual progression, the encouraging voices, the time signals to gauge where I'm up to, the visual layout recording the run, the fact it concerts to my Apple Watch, & Strava (so I can easily gloat to my friends), the strength exercises in between runs, the useful links to different articles (like choosing running shoes), the parallel reminders about maintaining encouraging self-talk… There's nothing I can think of that's not to like about N2R!
I've had a long on/off relationship with running, and this programme is teaching me it doesn't need to be all or nothing. The variety in training, minimal time-based focus and supportive approach make it feel doable. Love supporting an independent initiative and loving getting it done in None to Run.
I love these training plans. I've had N2R for ages now and every update brings more useful features and the support team are so responsive!
Much better than couch to 5 k.
Have love this app as it has help me with starting plus with the walk run intervals has much improved my runs and enjoyment again
I found this app great for getting into running. It helps improve consistency as well.
Helped me crack the code at 45 and start running
Start with 30-second run intervals. No pressure. No judgement. Just a plan that meets you exactly where you are.
